Empowering Change: Our Impactful Projects
BBS Charities has been actively engaged in a diverse range of projects across various sectors and regions. In rural villages, we have established clean water systems, granting communities access to safe drinking water and improved sanitation facilities. Additionally, we’ve supported the construction of new schools and provided learning materials to underprivileged children, fostering education and empowerment.
In a community near Managua, Nicaragua, our contributions have facilitated the completion of a land purchase for a new school and basic medical center. Meanwhile, in Cancun, Mexico, we provided all-new beds for a children’s home, enhancing their living conditions.
Our support extended to Escuela Adelanta, the first bilingual school in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Through our donations, we have enabled 30 children to attend school for an entire year and helped fund the establishment of a preschool program. In Khiva, Uzbekistan, we have contributed to ensuring that school children have access to essential school supplies and clothing for the upcoming academic year.
In Blanco, Texas, we provided $50 gift cards from Home Depot and HEB Grocery store to support flood victims, as well as special needs and elderly individuals in Waco, TX, and Canyon Lake. Our assistance also reached children in Boerne and San Antonio, TX, offering financial aid to cover the costs of food, nutrition, and education, further exemplifying our commitment to empowering lives and creating a lasting impact.
Moreover, our dedicated efforts have gone into rescuing and rehabilitating animals in need, ensuring they receive proper care and find loving homes. Each of these endeavors exemplifies our unwavering commitment to creating lasting, positive change and making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Projects
Chemka Primary School
Tanzania
At BBS Charities, our unwavering commitment to making a difference is exemplified by our partnership with Chemka Primary School in Tanzania. Our funding has brought about meaningful changes in the lives of students and staff by addressing their most pressing needs. By installing a clean water system, we have not only provided easier access to this vital resource but also improved the overall health and hygiene of the school community. This has allowed students to focus on their education without the burden of a daily one-kilometer trek for water.
Our support extended to enhancing the school’s sanitation facilities, providing a cleaner and safer environment for everyone. We also ensured that students had the necessary school supplies, uniforms, and backpacks, which fostered a sense of belonging and pride in their education.
Recognizing the importance of nutrition for young learners, we supplied several months’ worth of food, including 600kg of corn/maize, salt, and porridge, along with firewood for cooking. This initiative not only supported the well-being of the 380 pupils but also relieved the financial burden on their families.
In the digital age, access to technology is crucial for educational success. Our contributions enabled Chemka Primary School to acquire four computers, a projector, a printer, and Wi-Fi access, facilitating modern learning techniques and expanding educational opportunities for the students. By investing in these essential resources, we are empowering the children at Chemka Primary School to develop the skills they need to create a brighter future for themselves and their community.
Animal Rescue
CARE Network of California
BBS Charities actively supports animals in distress and the compassionate individuals who rescue them by funding essential services such as medical care, nourishment, sterilization procedures, and securing long-term homes. Partnering with the renowned CARE Network of California, we strive to create a brighter future for these vulnerable animals while empowering the dedicated rescuers who work tirelessly to improve their lives.
Escuela Adelante (Education Moving Forward)
San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua
“This project is a dream job because I get to help students fulfill their destiny, which in turn fills me with joy and hope for the future. Challenges exist as in any business, for profit or not; however, our willingness to move beyond the everyday exceeds any issues that may inevitably arise.
I am quite pleased that it seems we have a similar sentiment towards humanity, in our shared virtues of altruism, good will and equality. I too believe that a person is a person no matter where they are, especially a child.
As a school we plan on demonstrating just how far your donation can go in the lives of these children and in the course of our development as a school. We are incredibly grateful and humbled by your selection of Escuela Adelante to receive a donation.
We plan on devoting half of the funds towards the development of the first phase of construction which includes the preschool. The other half will be used for operational expenses, this gives us the ability to access top quality materials, resources and teachers.”
Cuidad de la Alegría (City of Joy)
Cancun, Mexico
BBS Charities was able to purchase all new beds and hygienic bed covers for Cuidad de la Alegría (City of Joy) located outside of Cancun, Mexico. Let’s just say we loved playing our part in helping the children live up to the great name they are being hosted. And from the picture below you can see they were indeed enjoying their City of Joy.
While there was much fanfare in the delivery of the beds coming out of the trucks and into the rooms, something else soon grabbed the children’s attention. A recent distribution of coloring books, reading materials and toys that BBS Charity donors and their children made had captured the children’s attention.
Often we overlook the sweet smiles a teddy bear or toy car can bring, however, it fosters educational play, camaraderie and the type of childhood we’d rather see all children enjoy. Play helps bring in some normality when tragedy has been involved.
A week after the kids received the beds, several of their caretakers commented that they noticed a remarkable change in the children’s wellbeing. They also noticed that they too felt more rested, all because the children were resting better.
BBS Charities was able to purchase books and school supplies for children at the school.
Funds for children to go to school
Khiva, Uzbekistan
BBS Charities got funds to children and there family’s in Khiva, Uzbekistan so they could purchase new clothing and supplies for school.
